Robin Long
Robin Long has been part of the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Lending Team for over 25 years. We know that because we had a celebration when she received her “Penn State rocking chair”. In fact, she began working in the Harrell Health Sciences Library in 1984; she had also previously held positions in the departments of Physical Therapy and Behavioral Science.
Robin has been the constant member of our ILL group who is well-known throughout “Interlibrary Loan Land” for being dependable, quick and customer friendly, especially when emergencies occur and expedited services are required. She has seen many changes in the use of technology for document delivery; photocopying from print journals and sending through the mail has evolved to accessing a document online and delivering it electronically to a patron in a matter of minutes.
Robin is always energetic and willing to help beyond her daily assigned duties. She enjoys being part of projects and activities. As a mother of three (now grown) children, she always loves helping to assemble goodies for the children from Pediatrics who come Trick ‘r Treating at Halloween.
