Netter Anatomy Online

By David Brennan, MLS
Assistant Librarian, Collection Development/Digital Resources Management

The Harrell Health Sciences Library is happy to announce the availability of two online anatomy resources: the Netter 3D Interactive Anatomy, and the Netter Atlas of Human Anatomy.

This is how you can access them:

The Netter Atlas can be accessed directly at http://cat.libraries.psu.edu/uhtbin/cgisirsi/x/0/0/123?searchdata1=9781455709748. You may also choose to search the Harrell HSL's eBooks List or the CAT using "netter atlas" as your search terms.  This online atlas is available anytime on or off campus and displays well on a tablet device without requiring an app.

The Netter 3D Interactive Anatomy uses interactive 3-dimensional models to allow the viewer to become immersed in a realistic environment for virtual dissection and exploration of human anatomy including quiz features. It can be accessed directly at http://apps.hmc.psu.edu/elibrary/eresource/view/320 or by searching "Netter" in the Harrell HSL's Database List.  This product requires a web browser plug-in to operate - versions are available for the Mac or PC.  To download the plug-in and read more about this great learning tool, see http://www.interactelsevier.com/netter/detailsNetter 3D Interactive Anatomy is not available for tablet devices.
