How Do I Use Mendeley?

Information and tips for getting the most out of Mendeley at Penn State Hershey George T. Harrell Health Sciences Library.

Simple Step-By-Step

To create a Group, you can do in Mendeley Desktop or Mendeley Online. 

In Mendeley Desktop:

  1. Under My Library → Create Group...
  2. Fill in information of Group including name and description
  3. Select the Privacy Settings, Private, Invite-Only (viewable by public, edited by specific invited people), Public (open to everyone)
  4. Click Create Group
In Mendeley Online:
  1. Under the Groups tab → Create a new group
  2. Do steps 2-4 as above
