Accessibility Requirements
- Rich text boxes:
- Do not change font name, font size, and font color.
- Do not add highlight and background color.
- Use pre-defined headings only. Headings should start with Heading 3 and be used in sequential hierarchy.
- Use “Paste from Word” when pasting in copy.
- Properly chunk your content to one broad idea per box.
- Images:
- Add ALT text in images properties.
- ALT text should describe the image.
- Do not make ALT text more than a sentence or two.
- For decorative images, leave ALT text empty.
- In-Text Links:
- Use descriptive text in links. Avoid using ambiguous phases such as “click here”.
- Use phrases instead of single words.
- Tables:
- Avoid using tables if possible.
- Add table caption in table properties.
- Mark Header cells as Header in cell properties.
- Do not merge cells.
- Videos:
- Audio captions must be provided.
